POOL RENOVATIONS IN CLEAR LAKE

Pool Renovations Designed Around Clear Lake.

Clear Lake filled in around NASA decades ago, and its pools show it: shells built in the 70s, 80s, and 90s that have hosted a generation of summers and are overdue for their second act. These are exactly the pools renovation was made for. The structure is usually sound; what's tired is the plaster, the waterline tile, the narrow original decking, and an equipment pad running technology several eras old.

We renovate Bay Area pools in that order of honesty — verify the shell first, then rebuild the experience. A typical Clear Lake scope pairs a modern interior finish with new tile and coping, replaces or extends the decking, and swaps aging equipment for quiet variable-speed systems that cost far less to run. From there the project can go as far as you want it to: an added spa, a tanning ledge cut into the existing shell where feasible, LED lighting, and automation that puts a decades-old pool on your phone.

Second Acts for 70s–90s Pools

The Bay Area's original pool stock is our renovation specialty — sound shells from earlier decades rebuilt into pools that look and operate like current construction.

Decking Rethought, Not Just Replaced

Original surrounds were often narrow by today's standards. Renovation is the moment to widen the deck into a real gathering space, not merely re-pour what was there.

The Equipment Pad Leap

Replacing equipment from an earlier era with modern variable-speed and salt-compatible systems changes noise, chemistry, and operating cost all at once.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Pool Renovation & Remodeling in Clear Lake, TX — Questions Answered

After a shell and plumbing inspection sets the baseline, the typical full scope covers a new interior finish, waterline tile, coping, deck replacement or expansion, and a modern equipment package. Optional layers — spa, lighting, automation, water features — get designed in at the same time. You choose how far to take it; we make sure every layer is priced as its own decision.

That balance is the craft of Bay Area renovation. Mature trees and settled landscaping are the best features of an older Clear Lake yard, so we protect them during construction and choose finishes, deck materials, and lighting that complement what's grown up around the pool. The result should read as the yard perfected, not the yard replaced.

When the scope involves structural, gas, plumbing, or electrical work, yes — and around Clear Lake the office that issues it depends on your exact address, since Clear Lake City permits through the City of Houston while Webster, Seabrook, Nassau Bay, Taylor Lake Village, and El Lago each run their own. We confirm your home's jurisdiction and carry the entire process for you.

Age is the honest variable here: pools from the 70s through 90s differ widely in shell condition, plumbing health, and how much deck needs replacing, so two same-sized pools can scope very differently. Finish tier and added features build from that baseline. We inspect before we price anything and deliver a free, itemized quote — call (713) 670-6671 to schedule the assessment.
